Gary Lacey and Chris Lacey have been significant players in the UK's Internet market for over ten years.
Starting in 1997 as Money Maker UK, Gary Lacey realised that even though the Internet was becoming increasingly popular, online services were predominantly technical in nature. This meant that customers needed a good level of technical expertise to manage their accounts, often including UNIX skills. Gary set out to change this.

At the end of 1997 Money Maker UK launched easy to use website templates and offered a range of Business, Home and Reseller packages for free internet access and affiliate schemes. These products were easy-to-use, yet still had many of the features that Webmasters were starting to demand.

Money Maker grew at a fast pace, with a never-ending array of new products and features, including the “Making Money Online Site”, which was first released in August 1998.

In March 1999, Chris Lacey independently launched Intelligent Business Services, which provided fast reliable and bespoke design services. It was soon a very popular business with an every growing customer base.
2008 has witnessed the launch of Conquest UK, combining the knowledge from Money Maker UK and Intelligent Business Services, for all of our users a purpose-built web hosting data centre secures and manages online accounts with features such as fire suppression, backup generator, uninterruptible power supplies, raised floor, air conditioning, multiple fibre links to the Internet and more.
